Near the end of the day we had most of the wall to ourselves.

The title is a bit misleading, it wasn't that quiet thanks to the million cicadas that surround the wall.

Great Wall http://www.chadisley.com/items/view/2192/great-wall

This part was great, no maintenance here as it's all overgrown, which also meant no other tourists (well, we did see one other couple in the hour we were on this section).

From Marina's blog:

"Same day, different outfits. After setting up the show a fairy god mother came and transformed a tired and crumpled Chad and I into a beautiful prince and a princess……Well, it was actually a lot more like getting stuck in traffic for an hour on our way back to the hotel because President Medvedev was in town and all the main roads were blocked off, and not having any time to do my hair, with a strong possibility of missing the opening of the ball. Also our pumpkin was really just a taxi, but it was still a magical day!"

One of the entries in the 2010 Enchanted Doll Contest. Most of the entries were inspired by the dolls, but this one was directly inspired by this photo

This stands at about 20cm tall, and is made of crafting clay.

Collector's item http://www.chadisley.com/items/view/964/collectors-item

Limited Edition of one (1), this Chad Isley figurine was hand made using only the finest of super sculpy. The figure stands at approximately 4cm tall and features 4 different variations of facial hair (handlebar moustache as shown, regular moustache, horseshoe moustache, and full beard).

The figurine was made by Noxy, who also made the Marina (+cat) one a couple years previous.

Behind the scenes http://www.chadisley.com/items/view/940/behind-the-scenes

We struggled to get good shots of Marina working at her desk (a magazine wanted that type of shot specifically) that wasn't "over the shoulder". The problem was that her desks both faced the wall. We bought a cheap mirror from Canadian Tire, leaned it against the wall, and bam, photos of her working from staight on.

I think "they turned out alright.

sidenote: I'm holding the camera awkwardly to try and stay as far to the right as possible, to stay out of the shot (not this shot, the zoomed in shot)

I wonder if I would have been seasick if I wasn't hungover that day as well. I'll never know. Marina got far to much enjoyment out of watching me in this state.
